My teacher often says:
We don’t always get to do the things we want to do, but we have to learn to want to do the things we have to do.
In my heart, I know this is the case. In any areas of my life where I feel dissatisfied, applying more discipline is the answer.
Do the thing I’ve been procrastinating.
Feel the feelings I’ve been denying.
Have the conversation I’ve been avoiding.
I don’t feel like doing these things, but I have to learn to want to do them anyway so eventually I’ll be more at ease with my circumstances.
The only way out is through, after all.
